Coronation church and burial place of the Georgian kings, built over the spot where Christ's robe is believed to be buried.
Samtavro Monastery
A still-active convent with the tomb of King Mirian and Queen Nana, the country's first Christian rulers.
Bebristsikhe Fortress
Ruined walls of a medieval castle on the northern edge of town; from the terrace the view runs up the Aragvi valley.

A fall of about twenty metres in a side valley of the gorge, reached by a half-hour path from the car park.
Sioni defensive tower
Free-standing medieval tower above the village of Sioni, with one of the oldest basilicas in the region beside it.
Sno Valley and Sno Castle
Green upland valley with a defensive tower on the rock and stone-carved portrait heads by the roadside, the Chaukhi peaks behind.
Evening: Terek riverside in Stepantsminda
The riverside path by the bridge, with benches, small bars and views of the illuminated mountain church in the evening.
Day 8Back to Tbilisi: museum and mountain
